ಲಲಿತಕಲೆಗಳು ೨೧೫ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಯಾಶಾಲಿಯಾದ ಕಲಾವಿದ ಅವುಗಳ ಸೋಗಭಾರದಿಂದ ಕುಗ್ಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇವು ಪ್ರಭಾವಜೆಲ್ಲಿ ರೂಢಿಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಯ್ಯದಂತೆ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಪಳವಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಈ ಕುರುಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ನೆಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಲಲಿತಕಲಾವಿದ ತನ್ನ ಕೃತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಾಧಿಸುವುದು ಮಾ ನ ವ್ಯದ ಪೂರ್ಣ ವಿಕಾಸ, ಆತ್ಮನ ಅನಂತ, ಅಮರ ಸ್ವರೂಪದರ್ಶನ. ಅರವಿಂದರ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದರೆ “ so suggest the strength and virile unconquerable force of the divine Nature in man and in the outside world, its energy, its calm, its powerful inspiration, its august enthusiasm, its wildness, greatness, attractiveness, to breathe that into inan's soul and gradually mould the finite into the image of the infinite is another spiritual utility of Art.
