Srimathi, Tirumalammal of Nanjangud has brought out a number of very useful kanada books, “ Vidyullatha" " Satheethvarakshini” “ Viragını’ and "Suseele” are four books which she has published. In all these books she has port-rayed human nature in its simplicity. The language of the books is generally simple and rises to sublimity here and there. The stories are told in the most interesting and attractive manner. Some of the dialogues are excellent There is an ultimate tone of morality pervading the treatment adopted in the books. There is, however, room for improvement which, we hope, will be attended to in the next edition, if any. Augit 24, 1915 OYU
