Usage
[ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿ]This is a template to be used at the top of every Portal: namespace page, to provide navigational links and to describe the scope of that portal. This template has got two variants:
Basic usage:

Full usage:
As portals may be linked from Wikidata, use of that process would generally be preferred, if appropriate, rather than use of parameters.

Parameters

- title: Portal title.
- parent: Parent portal (if applicable). This overrides the default portal links in the title bar. Categorises into the hidden category Category:Portals linking to a parent
- class: The classification letter of the portal (see Portal:Index)
- subclass1: The first subclass letter of the portal (if applicable)
- subclass2: The second subclass letter of the portal (if applicable)
- number: The classification number of the portal (if applicable). Not yet in use.
- midclass: Forces the display of both subclasses if both subclass1 and subclass2 are defined.
- shortcut: Shortcut to the portal.
- reviewed: Set to yes when the portal's classification has been reviewed, see also {{Portal review}}.
- notes: Notes regarding the portal.
- Overrides (for exceptions)
- forcecat: By default this template categorises the portal into Category:Portals, if the header is used on a basepage (not a subpage) of the Portal namespace. Use "n" or "no" to prevent this categorisation; use "forced" to force the categorisation regardless of the basepage/namespace.
- sortkey: Sortkey for automatic categorisation.
- Internal links (optional - use whichever are appropriate)
- portal: slash-separated list of related portals. Eg World History/Greece
- related_author: slash-separated list of related authors. Eg William Shakespeare/Francis Bacon
- Interwiki links (optional - use whichever are appropriate. Consider using linking through Wikidata)
- wikipedia, commons, commonscat, wikiquote, wikinews, wiktionary, wikibooks, wikiversity, wikispecies, meta, wikilivres, wikivoyage, wikidata
