Sanscrit nouns containing a syllable composed of any consonant in conjunction with 6, are corrupted by omitting the 6, and doubling the consonant which should immediately follow it; as o f, wgwa wick, wf, augas a castle, $c. RULE 4th: Sanscrit nouns containing a consouant compounded with 6, are sometimes corrupted by omitting the 6; and also occasionally by omitting the 5 and doubling the consonant which should precede it ; as ద్ర్యా, డ్యా యు a boat, ముద్రి శా, ముద్దియు a seal, నిద్రా, నిట్టియు sleep, &c. Rule 5th. 'The vowel er or at of the first syllable of a Sanscrit noun is occasionally changed into w or ng, when corrupted; as two d., 6200 as a kind of pike, Dojr, aux as an animal, &c. Rule 6th. Some Sanscrit nouns are corrupted by changing the initial vowel Quinto 0; as que o raw a hermit, gume, or as a debt, quat, ontwas an ox, &c. In addition to the classes of words which bave been noticed in the foregoing rules, many corruptions are made which cannot be ranked under any particular head.
